KPMG

KPMG is one of the world’s leading professional services networks and one of the Big Four accounting firms. Together with Microsoft, KPMG has developed an internal AI Agent called “Workbench” that will help to serve every KPMG employee in order to speed up processes and create better collaboration across their global enterprise. KPMG announced this milestone at an exclusive conference at Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, WA, allowing KPMG employees and executives to ask questions and get fully acquainted with this new technology. However, since KPMG is a MASSIVE company and Workbench is intended for everyone, there was a clear need to create some video content around the conference to help inform and excite KPMG employees across the globe. They asked Microsoft to recommend a video production company that they had enjoyed working with and in steps Mountain Out Media. 

Once onboarded, our first challenge was communicating across time zones. We had one producer in Brisbane and another in Dublin. Being based in Tacoma, WA ourselves, meets often happened in the middle of the night (we were up anyways). After coordinating locations and timing, and landing on a look and feel for the videos, it was time to start production. During filming we conducted 8 interviews with KPMG employees in 4 different locations around Microsoft. We then interviewed another 4 executives to help bring some levity to our story of AI transformation. Additional footage was captured during the event to showcase the excitement and collaboration around this project. 

Once back in the edit bay, we sent full line cuts of each interview along with full transcripts to our client so they could parse out the important bits. This method allowed us to focus on weaving the selected statements into a cohesive narrative exploring the creation and intention behind Workbench. For this production we created one longer 3min piece (seen above) and three shorter social media edits meant to be shared internally on KPMG’s employee social platform.
